Creating A Reservation

Reservations in Beam allows you to manage assets, people and locations in Beam. In this tutorial we'll show you how to create and configure reservations in Beam.

1. To create a new reservation, click on New Reservation at the top right of the Reservations page.

2. Doing so will open a modal where you can configuring the basic details associated with your reservation. Give your reservation a name, status and description. Set a destination for the status and give the reservation a start and end date

3. Next, you are ready to add assets to the reservation. To do this click on the Add button at the top of the assets section of the reservation.

4. Choose the assets you want to associate with the reservation in the modal and click add selected when you're satisfied with your selection.

5. To make it easier to find assets, you can use your filters from the inventory page in the Add Assets modal. This includes any saved filters you have previously made.

6. Additionally, you can also toggle an availability filter so that the asset interface only shows you assets that have not been booked on any other reservations for your selected dates.

7. Next, you can add tags to your reservation. Tags are a quick way to add multiple assets to a reservation quickly. If you add a tag to a reservation, all assets with that tag automatically get added to the reservation.

8. To get started, click the Add button at the top of the reservations section.

9. In the add tags popup, Select the tags you want to associate with your Reservation and click Add Selected when you're satisfied with your selection.

11. After adding your tags, you are ready to add people to your reservation. Click on the Add button at the top of the people section of your reservation.

12. In the ensuing popup, select the people you want to associate with the Reservation and click Add Selected When you're

14. In the Bulk Items modal that pops up, check the bulk items that you want to add, and click Add Selected when you're satisfied with your selection

16. With all the resource relationships set, the last step to configuring your reservation is to set values for your custom fields and if needed add attachments to the reservations.

17. When you are satisfied with the setup of your Reservation, click Create at the bottom right of the Reservation to complete the creation process
