Customizing and Configuring Saved Views in Beam Dynamics

Beam’s Saved Views feature gives every user the power to customize how data is displayed—tailoring views to match specific workflows, roles, and responsibilities. Whether you're in operations, engineering, or IT, you can define what matters most and access it instantly.

Note: Saved Views is available across all Beam modules. This tutorial demonstrates how it works within the Inventory module.

Customize Your Columns

  1. Launch any module that supports saved views (Inventory, Maintenance, Tickets). By default you will see a table displaying all entities in that module.

  2. To customize the columns on display, open the Columns menu at the top left of the screen.

  3. In the ensuing popup, you can select or deselect default fields, tag categories, and custom fields to show the data you need.

  4. Once you’re satisfied with your selection. Press Confirm to execute your changes

  5. Reorder columns by dragging them into your preferred order.

Save a Custom View

  1. To save a given column configuration click Save on the Unsaved View Changes alert that pops up at the top of the screen.

  2. Your custom view is now available anytime you log in.

Create Multiple Views

  1. To add additional views, click Add View at the top of the screen.

  2. Name the view (e.g., “Operations Overview” or “Tech Check”).

  3. You can now configure the visible columns of this view to meet the specific needs of that particular view.

Apply Filters for Specific Data

  1. Open the Filters menu.

  2. Choose a filter (e.g., Status: Online) to narrow down your data.

  3. Combine multiple filters (e.g., Status: Online + Location: Truck 7).

  4. Use operators (e.g., is not, is set, is not set) to refine your results.

  5. Click Save to store the filtered view.

Access Your Views Anytime

Your saved views, including filters and columns, are always available. Use them to streamline daily workflows for different teams or tasks.
