Navigating the Product Page

For most Beam users, the Product Page serves as their primary base of operations for their day-to-day inventory management. In this tutorial, we will give you an overview of all the functionality available on the products page.

Accessing The Products Page

You can access the Products Page from anywhere in the platform by clicking Products in the sidebar of your Beam workspace

The Product Page is a comprehensive list of the products from your R2 workspace that you have enriched using Beam. On the page, you get an overview of all the products  that you have enriched and indications of new data conflicts that need to be resolved.

Searching for Products

In the day-to-day of managing your product inventory, you will often find the need to find specific products or filter down to specific product groups. Product search allows you to do just that.

Basic Search

Using the search bar at the top right of the page, you can look up products by:

  • Product Name
  • Model #
  • Manufacturer

Filters

FIlters allow you to create more advanced queries by chaining together several search conditions. To use this feature, click the Filters button at the top right of the inventory page.

Select the field you want to filter on, and enter your desired value in the empty field. Click Confirm when you're satisfied, to execute the filter.

Beam's filter functionality allows you to apply multiple filters at the same time. To apply multiple filters, set a filter condition on multiple fields before clicking Confirm.

Refreshing The Data Sync With R2

Data isn't static. As products are moved around and used their data changes. Beam accounts for the dynamic nature of your data by giving you the ability to resync previously enriched products. To pull in up to date data from your R2 instance into Beam, click on the Pull R2 Changes button.

Once your data has been refreshed the Sync status column will display any new data conflicts that might have arisen since your first enriched data.

Sync Status has five possible values:

Resolving Conflicts

To resolve Beam Conflicts, hover over the product listing and click the Sync Details button.

This will show you what data conflicts exist for the product. Use the checkboxes to select the data you want to keep and click Approve to queue the product for sync.

Once approved, products will be added to the Sync queue at the bottom right of the Beam workspace

Resolving Errors

To resolve an error, hover over the product, and click on the Sync details button.

The ensuing modal will give you a summary of all the data that will be synced to R2, including previously resolved conflicts. Review this data and click Approve to re-add the product to the Sync Queue.

Executing the Sync Queue

Once you've resolved all potential conflicts and errors in your product data, click on the Sync button in the Sync queue to sync your products with R2.
